What Is It?

Emissions refers to the gases expelled by your vehicle when the engine is running.

Why Do I Need It?

Emission control has two main benefits. First, the proper operation ensures that your vehicle will pass the state's emissions test. Secondly, the emission control system is directly related to engine performance and if not operating properly, your gas mileage and the environment will be adversely affected.

When Do I Have To Do It?

Typically emission systems malfunctions are indicated by the "service engine" light. Manufactures also have set mileages specifying when various components of the system need to be replaced.
