I had no intention of writing a review. I’ve had issues in the past with poor mechanics and managers who lie but, there are new mechanics and new managers so I decided to use them for emissions. I was sitting in the waiting room and it had nothing to do with my vehicle but, after the 3rd email requesting a review, here we are. A mechanic came in to talk to a manager. You can see in his face he was visibly shaken. He tells the manager a car isn’t idling right after an oil change. The manager asks how much oil he put it in. The mechanic tells him the car idles perfectly without oil in it, then he added 5qts and the dipstick showed it was low. So he added 2qts more and it barely showed on the dipstick. He said he added 2qts a second time and now it shows in the “safe” area. The manager says “well let’s check and see what the oil capacity is.” They discover it’s 4.5qts. So now a vehicle has idled with no oil in it and 9qts instead of 4.5qts in it. What do they do? The manager tells the mechanic to drain the oil, put 4.5qts of oil in it and send the customer on their way…I was blown away how these people are allowed to work on vehicles. No thought to check for damage or inform the customer. You can’t make this stuff up with this shop. It’s a daily occurrence. Edit 3/31/26: After just over two months, a reply back from Mezzio’s is a copy and paste off their website. Further proves my point from the original review. Not a single reply or action about what occurred. Unbelievable
